Let's face it, very firm people schedule an abortion without being a little bit scared and nervous. So, we would like to discuss the procedure and hopefully make you less anxious.
1. When you arrive at our office, we will have you fill out some information and contact forms.
2. We will do a brief history and physical exam and blood testing to find out your blood type, unless you
know your blood type. (If you are RH Negative we will advise you to have a dose of Rho-Gam to
protect you) Only 10% of people are RH Negative.
3. Then we will do an ultrasound exam to determine how far pregnant you are and to be absolutely sure
the pregnancy is in your uterus and is not an ectopic pregnancy.
